School Janitor – Cleaner – Hiring On-Call! Noatak, AK

NMS is currently seeking candidates for on-call and rotational roles with flexible scheduling options. Employees may also have the opportunity to rotate or work in other NANA Villages as needed. This custodial position offers a competitive wage starting at $19.50/HR DOE and opportunities to apply today.

• A day in the life of a School Janitor - Cleaner: arrive for each custodial shift ready to work, cleaning and completing tasks efficiently while remaining friendly and service-oriented. Responsibilities include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, sanitizing, restocking rooms, and other janitorial duties.
• Remove trash and transport it to the appropriate areas. Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs. End each shift with a clean, shining school.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes
• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc.
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• A valid driver’s license with a 3-year driving record that is acceptable to the company’s insurance carrier
