Situated alongside the North Platte River, this 362‑acre park features a range of nature viewing opportunities and outdoor activities, including a 3‑mile paved hiking trail. As a team member, you’ll work in a beautiful natural setting, keeping the park safe and well‑maintained while providing visitors with exceptional experiences through educational, cultural, and recreational activities.

Seasonal employment runs from mid‑May to mid‑September, with some positions beginning earlier or extending into the fall. The actual length of employment depends on the location and the job type.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Seasonal Visitor Services Associate – Fee Collector- Greet visitors, collect admission fees, and provide excellent customer service.
- Answer visitor questions and give pertinent information about the site, including interpretation and orientation of facilities and local points of interest.
- Handle monetary transactions, including fee collection.
- Responsible for cash register reconciliation.
- Answer a multi‑line telephone system, transferring calls to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry.
- Perform opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning and maintenance as needed.
- Provide janitorial services in the building and assist the Fee Supervisor with special projects and events.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
- Assist with the development and delivery of educational and recreational programs.
- Perform routine building, grounds, and landscape maintenance, minor carpentry repairs, painting, and mowing.
- Assist staff in the construction, installation, maintenance, and renovation of grounds and buildings, and preventive maintenance.
- Clean and service restrooms, shelters, and buildings, and remove litter from grounds, parking lots, and other public areas.
- Operate and/or drive a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy equipment.
- Operate various maintenance equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment required in daily operations.
- Utilize various hand and power tools.
- Follow proper handling and safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and fuel products, including proper PPE usage.
- Provide excellent customer service; may interact with the visiting public, answering basic questions.
- Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.
- Assist with the development and delivery of educational and recreational programs.

- Perform opening and closing duties, as well as janitorial services and maintenance as needed.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are professional and provide excellent customer service.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Detail‑oriented, accurate, and thorough in completing assignments/tasks.
- Good interpersonal skills, allowing the ability to interact with visitors from around the world.
- Willingness to work on a variety of assignments every day.
- Experience in handling money, cash registers, and retail sales.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple projects with variable timelines and scopes of work.
