Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pool Custodian. This part‑time position is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and enjoyable swimming environment for our patrons. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of the pool area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and providing excellent service to all visitors.
Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the pool area, including decks, restrooms, and surrounding facilities.
- Monitor water quality and chemical levels, conducting tests and adjusting as necessary to ensure safe swimming conditions.
- Remove debris from the pool and surrounding areas, including leaves, trash, and other contaminants.
- Inspect pool equipment and facilities regularly, reporting any maintenance needs or safety hazards to management.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool events and activities as needed.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting guests as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, water quality tests, and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall cleanliness and functionality of the pool area.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work, preferably in a pool or recreational facility.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
