If so, join Wyoming State Parks for a summer of adventure and teamwork in beautiful Guernsey State Park. Guernsey State Park is located just miles from Guernsey, WY. It is home to one of the most diverse State Parks in Wyoming with everything from boating, hiking, and mountain biking on the recreational side, to both the Oregon Trail and Civilian Conservation Corps on the Historical side.

All these activities are found within Guernsey State Park’s boundary and its 3 satellite sites. The park is currently seeking enthusiastic staff to fill positions in maintenance, in visitor services in our fee booths, and in the museum.

The employment season is typically from mid‑May to mid‑September. Some seasonal positions may begin earlier in the year and/or extend longer into the fall. The actual length of employment depends on the work location and the type of job performed.

• Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer visitor questions and provide pertinent information about the site, including interpretation and orientation of facilities and local points of interest.
• Collect admission fees and monetary transactions, including fee collection and gift shop sales. Responsible for cash register reconciliation.
• Responsible for restocking gift shop shelves and tracking inventory.
• Answer a multi‑line telephone system, transferring calls to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with general administrative duties, reports, and data entry.
• Perform opening and closing duties, as well as cleaning, janitorial services, and light maintenance as needed.
• Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.

• Perform routine building, grounds, and landscape maintenance, minor carpentry repairs, painting, and mowing.
• Assist staff in the construction, installation, maintenance, and renovation of grounds and buildings, and in preventive maintenance.
• Clean and service restrooms, shelters, and buildings, and remove litter from grounds, parking lots, and other public areas.
• Operate and/or drive a variety of vehicles, including light and heavy equipment.
• Operate various maintenance equipment, including mowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other equipment required in daily operations. Utilize various hand and power tools.
• Follow proper handling and safety procedures regarding cleaning chemicals and fuel products encountered in daily operations, including proper Personal Protective Equipment usage.
• Provide excellent customer service. May interact with the visiting public, answering basic questions.
• Assist all North Platte District sites with special projects and events.

• Lead informational tours of the facility, lead programs, hands‑on activities, and other special projects and events on your own and with other staff.

For all seasonal positions, preference may be given to applicants who are professional while providing excellent customer service.
