JOB GOAL:
To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play and develop by keeping a clean environment inside and out.

• Must be able to read basic operating instructions.
• Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Some heavy lifting may be required (up to 75 lbs).
• Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

• Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
• Assists in completing Grounds and Maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
• Shovels and plows sidewalks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate.
• Assists in maintaining sprinkler systems as appropriate.
• Ensures all outside trash receptacles are emptied on a daily basis.
• Performs grounds keeping chores such as grass cutting, tree trimming and flowerbed tending to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition.
• Assists in summer preventative maintenance programs established for the schools, including repainting, sanding, finishing, stripping and waxing floors, minor repairs involving carpentry skills, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Adheres to all applicable laws, policies, and regulations governing the operation of Fremont County School District #14.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month work year with salary and fringe benefits to be established by the Board.

EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of support staff.
