Maintenance Manager, Industrial Maintenance
We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team and keep our plant running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands‑on manufacturing environment, enjoys developing people, and knows how to balance daily maintenance needs with long‑term planning.
As the Maintenance Manager, you’ll oversee machine repair, fabrication, preventive maintenance, facility upkeep, and contractor coordination. You’ll guide a skilled team, set priorities, manage budgets, and ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards.
What You’ll Lead- Planning and scheduling daily maintenance activities
- Assigning work, managing manpower, and ensuring the right expertise is applied
- Coaching, training, rewarding, and disciplining team members
- Setting departmental priorities aligned with engineering and plant goals
- Supporting capital planning and writing CARs
- Monitoring maintenance budgets and contributing to annual expense planning
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Overseeing contractors, janitorial services, and utility usage
- Jumping in on critical repairs when needed
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized maintenance environment
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of directly related maintenance leadership experience
Strong mechanical and technical problem‑solving skills - Ability to read and interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulations
- Solid communication skills and proven team‑building ability
- Basic computer literacy (email, work orders, data entry, downtime logging)
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, heights, and mechanical equipment
- Willingness to use required PPE and actively support plant safety initiatives
You’ll manage supervisors and group leaders, ensuring strong direction, coordination, and performance across the maintenance department. This includes hiring, training, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and maintaining a positive, productive team culture.
This role is hands‑on in a manufacturing setting. You’ll regularly encounter moving machinery, elevated work areas, heat, vibration, and outdoor conditions. Physical activity is part of the job — walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in tight spaces.
