About the Company

North Star Fishing Company is dedicated to producing the highest quality frozen‑at‑sea groundfish products in the world. It is one of the largest producers of frozen at sea flatfish, cod, pollock and other groundfish, and distributes seafood throughout the world. The company manages three trawl catcher‑processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and the Gulf of Alaska.

Housekeeper aboard the F/T North Star, an at‑sea processing vessel that fishes off the coast of Alaska. Housekeepers maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene of all public areas and accommodations, including the galley area, crew cabins and processing factory.

• Clean crew cabins including bathrooms, emptying garbage, dusting and vacuuming
• Clean crew lounge, public restrooms, changing room and other public areas as assigned
• Vacuum floors daily, mop as needed, strip and wax as scheduled
• Wash and clean walls, ceilings and lamps as scheduled
• Maintain and organise storage and linens
• Maintain laundry schedule; change sheets and towels per schedule
• Assist galley with dishes, mopping, restocking, cleaning and simple food prep as assigned during meal times
• Assist factory crew in cleaning and maintaining the factory areas

• Standing 14 hours per day for 7 days a week
• Self‑motivated team‑player
• All candidates subject to a post‑offer pre‑employment drug test, medical and background screen
• Must be able to provide two positive recent references from previous employers

• Limited privacy; 4–6 bunks per room (co‑ed)
• All meals provided at no cost
• Limited communication; cell phones do not work
• Satellite Wi‑Fi provided. Newly integrated Starlink offers high‑speed broadband internet.
• Successful completion of 5 consecutive fishing trips grants eligibility for airfare/hotel expenses to be paid by the company between the vessel and Seattle.
