Job Summary

Performs maintenance duties, including resolving difficult maintenance problems.

Hiring range: $21.30 - $23.00 / hourly DOE

Responsibilities
  • Performs general maintenance of building, including painting and general repairs.

    Resolves difficult maintenance problems. Keeps related records.
  • Maintains and repairs fitness equipment.
  • Reports and resolves building problems.
  • May service and inspect vans, and keep related records.
  • May order maintenance and janitorial supplies and equipment.
  • May maintain grounds, including mowing and weeding.
  • May perform various duties such as cleaning building, and replacing soap, paper towels, light bulbs, and other supplies.
  • May set up furniture for special events. May move furniture.
  • May provide day to day instructions to volunteers and staff.

Qualifications
  • One year or more of related experience in general maintenance work.
  • Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position will be considered.
  • Experience in carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing and general building systems.
  • Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties.
  • Ability to use equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner, including ability to read labels, MSDS information sheets, and instructions.
  • Ability to identify and resolve potential safety and security problems.
  • Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
