Service Counter Technician
Join our Service Counter Technician team delivering hands-on solutions while helping customers succeed every day.
A fast growing, award-winning family-owned business located in York, PA is looking for a full-time Service Counter Technician to join our growing Service Counter team at our Penn Air division. We are a premier solution provider of hydraulic, pneumatic and automation products.

Service Counter Technician Details:
- Direct hire position
- $20.00/hour
- Full time work available
- First shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
- Assemble and repair pneumatic and hydraulic hose products accurately and safely.
- Serve walk-in customers promptly and professionally.
- Assist customers with part identification and product selection.
- Perform basic inventory checks and cycle counting as assigned.
- Support other service functions during peak demand.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping all retail areas, warehouses, and workstations neat and orderly.
- Follow all proper safety procedures to ensure the safety of both employees and customers, and exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment.
- Always present a professional image to vendors, customers, and associates.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Service Counter Technician
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in service or hose and fittings counter for industrial equipment
- Mechanical knowledge and background
- Ability to learn and communicate the products and services offered.
- Able to determine customer needs and suggest alternatives and/or additional items related to the customer's order.
- Energetic self-starter willing to work hard with proven ability to consistently show up for work on time
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Possess basic math skills and knowledge of measurements and their conversion equivalents
- Basic computer skills
- TIG Welding experience is a plus
- Steel/Stainless tube bending/flaring ability
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of 50lbs
