Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Summary
This position maintains gas meters, gas chromatographs, composite samplers, RTU & SCADA equipment and related communication equipment, valves and valve operators, gas filters, and auxiliary equipment in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.
- Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination.
- Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.
- Inspect and maintain all pressure and volumetric control equipment.
- Collect gas and liquid samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.
- Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives.
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate gas chromatographs.
- Perform liquid meter proving.
- Maintain and operate composite samplers.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Level C requires a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
- Level B requires a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
- Level A requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.
- Detailed knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures.
- Working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with customer base.
- PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
- Some college or technical trade school is preferred.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Driving, walking, standing frequently.
- Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting.
- Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
