About the role:

Maintain designated grounds and outdoor areas on site using hand tools, trimmers, edgers, weed-eaters, electric tools, gas powered tools, and equipment. Mowing areas using zero turn mowers and riding lawn mowers, operating leaf blowers, applying pesticides and fertilizers, re-seeding, de-icing roads, walkways, and entrances to buildings, clearing damaged trees.

Key Responsibilities:

* Capable lifting 50 lbs. (heavy lifting required from time to time.)

* Must have a valid State issued Driver's License, and Must meet minimum education requirements, High School Diploma or equivalent

* Basic Computer Skills

* Training requirements for unescorted access to the nuclear facility to include Radiation Worker Training (RWT).

* Proactively support Westinghouse and Duke Energy programs, policies, procedures, strategic plans, and specific goals.

* Possess good oral and written communication skills

* Ability to understand and follow oral and written communications, technical requirements, procedures, and directives associated with working at a nuclear power plant.

* Commitment to personal safety and industrial safety.

* Be assertive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently or with minimum oversight.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of High School Diploma or GED

* Can pass a drug test

* Can pass a security background

Work Schedule

40-hour work week - Monday-Thursday operating 10-hour days during online periods. Ability to support on-call as needed and increased work hours including overtime during outage periods.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly pay range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $20 per hour.
