About the Job

Are you passionate about baking and creating delicious treats? West-Side Ventures Ltd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Baker to join our vibrant team! This is a permanent position offering 40 hours of work per week in a fast-paced and exciting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Bake mixed dough and batters to perfection.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling.
• Prepare special orders to meet customer needs.
• Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
• Ensure product quality meets established standards.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Operate baking machinery efficiently.
• Organize and maintain inventory for smooth operations.

Work Environment

You will be working in a bake shop and café setting, where creativity and attention to detail are essential. The role requires:

• Ability to distinguish between colors.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
• Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience: Not required, but good to have 1 or more years experience in a similar role.
• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
