about the role
this position provides general support in the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of water and wastewater systems, facilities, equipment, and grounds. The role assists with operation tasks, basic repairs, installations, and overall facility maintenance to help ensure safe and efficient system performance. The position requires availability to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

key responsibilities- assist with maintenance and repair of wastewater systems
- routine maintenance and minor repair of water and sewage lines, pump station equipment, water and wastewater equipment
- assist with installation and minor repair of electrical equipment
- painting building exteriors and interiors, shed rooms and equipment
- cutting grass, trim hedges, rake leaves, plant trees and flowers, remove ice and snow from sidewalks and driveways
- minor repairs to grounds equipment
- subject to 24-hour call-backs/stand-by to perform emergency maintenance and repair after normal working hours (nights, weekends, holidays)
- perform other duties as assigned
- education: high school diploma or g.e.d
- experience: minimum of one (1) year of experience in a maintenance position, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- other requirements: possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Cdl b license required.
