Overview
Warehouse Team Member I is highly knowledgeable in receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. The role oversees activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies, and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.
Responsibilities- Perform tasks in shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations as assigned.
- Adhere to all processes with little to no supervision.
- Communicate deviations from standard processes to leadership and propose corrective solutions.
- Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials using assigned equipment.
- Perform basic transactions and troubleshoot common errors in SAP.
- Internally certify inspection of rigging materials.
- Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within assigned work area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Stand for long periods.
- Climb stairs or ladders and use step stools.
- Lift, push, pull, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend frequently.
- Grip and manually manipulate items such as hand tools and turbine parts with repetitive motion.
- See and hear alarms, timers, and follow verbal instructions; color differentiation may be required.
- Adapt to a changing environment while demonstrating Vestas Core Values.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts.
- Operate all equipment safely and in compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance per attendance policy.
- Set a good example of personal integrity.
- Interpret instructions and translate them into work.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- 1 year of experience in a general warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices, and procedures.
- Experience operating a forklift and reach truck.
- Experience working within SAP.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions precisely.
- Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, schematics, and process documents.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Beginner-level understanding of Microsoft Office.

Salary Range$21.32 – $23.67 per hour.
