Job Summary: As a Campus Custodian, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, faculty, and staff, ensuring the school premises are well‑maintained and conducive to learning.

• Arranges furniture and equipment to provide adequate preparations for meetings, classroom activities, and/or special events.
• Attends unit meetings, in‑service training, workshops, etc. for gathering information required to perform job functions.
• Cleans assigned facilities (e.g., classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, labs, shops, etc.) to maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment.
• Informs students and other site personnel to provide information and direction regarding activities, safety issues, and/or proper maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Maintains job‑related custodial equipment (e.g., changing belts, cleaning equipment, changing bags, etc.) to ensure equipment availability in safe operating condition.
• Performs summer maintenance (e.g., strip/wax floors, move furniture, wash walls/windows, etc.) to complete and/or facilitate summer construction.
• Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies (e.g., paper towels, soap, etc.) to ensure adequate quantities for daily use.
• Responds to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and/or visitors for providing information, taking appropriate action, and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Respond to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g., facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.) to take appropriate action or notify appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Supports other site maintenance staff (e.g., grounds, trades, etc.) to complete site custodial activities. Assists in on‑job training of new staff on routine procedures.
• Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Required (Education & Experience)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience in commercial cleaning (preferred)
• Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

• Full‑time, 8 hours a day, Monday - Friday.
• 12 months.
• May need to work for emergency situations including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Adhering to safety practices; operating equipment used in industrial maintenance including electrical cleaning equipment, common tools, etc.
• Perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percent, and/or ratios.
• Read and follow instructions, understand multi‑step written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of methods used in industrial cleaning, and safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to schedule activities, collect data, and use job‑related equipment.
• Ability to select and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work professionally as a member of a team in a fast‑paced, diverse, deadline‑driven environment.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.

• Indoor work with some outdoor work.
• Exposure to chemicals daily.
• Be able to lift and manipulate heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Noise level may be louder at times due to machinery.

• May travel to other campuses within the school district.

Position Type: Full‑Time

Salary: $16.38 Per Hour
