Job Shift: 1st shift (6:30AM to 2:30PM Monday – Friday).

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled facilities maintenance, component replacement and repair tasks, including carpentry, mechanical, security systems, basic non-licensed electrical, and plumbing.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC: AHU, MAU, Chillers, Boilers, Exchangers, and Temperature and Humidification controls.
  • Technical expert in general maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, installing/repairing items, drywall repair, moving equipment or furniture, minor tile/carpet/flooring, and painting, general upkeep of the facility.
  • Ensures effective, efficient preventative maintenance is completed on all building system equipment to prevent damage and ensure equipment and building systems operate efficiently.
  • Check property and grounds for unsafe conditions, and clear hazards. Report on safety and security conditions.
  • Directs emergency operations throughout the facility and grounds to ensure safe passage during winter months, as required.
  • Identify, order, and maintain an inventory of spare and critical parts for applicable equipment.
  • Fabrication or welding of fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve the equipment.
  • Repairs to fork trucks as required.
  • Operates hand and power tools.
  • Coordinate contractor activity as needed.
  • Provide training and technical advice to other maintenance personnel when needed or requested.
  • Understanding of and compliance with General Industry OSHA Standards.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Work independently without supervision.
  • Provide clear communication and regular updates to internal customers on open projects and repairs.
  • Lead improvement in the areas of safety, quality, service, and communication.
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner.
  • Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance.
  • Performs all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent knowledge to prepare records, perform calculations, and interact effectively with others.
  • At least 5 years of progressively more responsible maintenance experience.
  • HVAC experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work overtime.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
