We are currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanic II in the Panels division on the 3rd shift (10:30PM to 6:30AM Sunday – Thursday). This position will ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is maintained in working order, rebuild equipment to meet manufacturing needs, and perform general building and site maintenance.

Training on 1st shift required:
Monday – Friday 6:30AM to 2:30PM for 6 to 8 weeks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain all equipment in the Business unit
  • Keep all equipment in safe operating conditions
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Install new equipment as required
  • Minor repairs to fork trucks as required
  • Perform safety inspections on all equipment
  • Schedule repair work on equipment based on production needs
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical problems and some basic controls, such as motor starters, relays, motors, fuses.
  • Fabricate fixtures, guards or parts to maintain or improve the equipment
  • Perform typical electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting, welding, or machine work to maintain the equipment
  • Make out purchase requisitions for repair parts and replacement stock items
  • Look for opportunities to improve equipment efficiency or process improvements
  • Maintain all records of repairs made to equipment
  • Work independently with little supervision
  • Provide the customer with the best value including Cost, Quality, and Delivery
  • Participate in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods
  • Handle internal and external questions in a prompt professional manner
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Continually looks for ways to improve job efficiency and performance
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of progressively more responsible maintenance experience
  • Electrical maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work overtime
Additional Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Trade Administration Regulations)
