What We are Looking For:

Bender Companies isseekinga skilled and dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our teamat our community in Zion. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

To succeed in this role, you shouldpossessstrong troubleshooting abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach toidentifyingand resolving maintenance issues. The right candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and able to follow direction while also working independently when needed.

Job Type:

Full-time

Pay:

$24-$26 per hour

Schedule

8AM to 4:30 PM (however hours may vary)
Monday to Friday On call Weekends as needed

Here are some things that will make you successful:

Reliabletransportationto get to work1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction

Strong communicationskillswith the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members

Familiarity with basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance maintenance

Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Ability to lift upto 50 pounds

What you will be doing:

As a Maintenance Technician at Bender Companies, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations and overall upkeep of the community. You willbe responsible for ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

In this role, you will collaborate with the maintenance team to address service requests, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to creating a well-maintained, comfortable living environment for our residents.

Core responsibilities include:

Perform routine property inspections toidentifyand address maintenance issues proactively

Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally

Maintain property grounds by removing trash, leaves, branches, and other debris to keepcommon areas clean and attractive

Support the completion of unit turnovers and make-readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning as needed

Assistin preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment

Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies

Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management

Participate inanon-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies

Performadditionalduties as assigned

Where you will work:

This position will require you to work on-site at the property in Zion.
