About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Housekeeping Department in Zurich, the Houseman is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms and public areas. The Houseman reports to the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager.

you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Professional cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
• Performing turndown service and handling guest requests
• Responsible use of cleaning supplies in compliance with hygiene and safety standards
• Forwarding lost and found items to the housekeeping office
• Reporting technical defects to the relevant departments
• Assisting with special tasks within the housekeeping department
• Managing and distributing laundry, guest amenities, and minibar items to floor storage rooms
• Processing and managing guest laundry, as well as issuing hotel uniforms

• Strong service orientation and independent work style
• Flexibility – your position will include weekend and holiday shifts
• Excellent manners and a high level of quality awareness
• Open-mindedness, sense of responsibility, and team spirit
• Very good knowledge of English. Further foreign language skills are an advantage
