Empow Studios:
Empow Studios brings technology, arts, and play together to help young learners (Grades 2-8) discover and build on their creative talents. We provide after school tech and design camps and technology-based enrichment camps in summer and year round at our center in Lexington, Middlesex County MA (just 15 miles north-east of Boston). Our goal is to empower kids to create projects that they are proud to share with family & friends. Whether that's designing, building, coding, or a combination of all three, every kid should have the opportunity to learn the empowering tools within digital art, computer science, and engineering, which can potentially spark interests for future ambitions in STEM.
- Emphasis on Child Creativity
We emphasize storytelling and creativity, and technology serves as a tool to tell stories in a rich way. Guided by our instructors, all campers learn technical tools at their own level and pace as needed for the selected projects.
- Individual Attention
We pay attention individually to a child’s emotional makeup, reading level, ability to work independently, ability to sustain focus, and other developmental factors. We also pair up more experienced campers with the less experienced to foster mentorship and support learning by both sides.
- Wide Range of Techniques and Coding Languages Taught
Depending upon the interests of our students, our teachers will teach specific techniques of animation, programming, app development, HTML, blogging, electronics, digital audio, 3D printing, and other topics we regularly cover.

The Teddy Bear Club Preschool and Kindergarten located in Newton, Middlesex County, MA, has an international flavor not only because of its French atmosphere and culture, but also thanks to the diversity of students who attend the program. We cater for children from Newton, Aubumdale, Waban, Chestnut Hill, Nonantum and surrounding communities. Over one hundred and fifty students constitute the Teddy Bear Club’s student body. The Young Artist Residency Program (YAR) at The Art Institute of Boston (AIB) at Lesley University in Boston, MA is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall. This intensive summer art residency program consists of 4 weeks of classes, and art-making is designed to offer a professional art college experience.
Strengthen your portfolio and become the artist you were meant to be through our Young Artist Residency program. Learn the high-tech side of art-making by gaining experience with state-of-the-art computer software and hardware. Students select their own courses, build their own schedules and are in classes Monday through to Friday.
Students live in Lesley University residence halls, minutes from Harvard Square in Cambridge and study art with college professors and graduates of AIB in our Boston studios, just across the Charles River.
