We provide after school tech and design camps and technology-based enrichment camps in summer and year round at our center in Lexington, Middlesex County MA (just 15 miles north-east of Boston). Our goal is to empower kids to create projects that they are proud to share with family & friends. 3:00 – 4:00 Arrival / Choice Time:
Image of Summer & After School Enrichment Programs in Boston MA areaStudents work on individual or group projects in a free-play format using their imaginations and creativity. Sample activities include: free-building with LEGO, group games, playing a board game, testing games their fellow students have made, etc.
4:00 – 4:15 Snack Time:
Brain food! Kids need their snack, and we provide many choices (sometimes too many!) to keep them happy and refueled. Please see our food policy.

4:15 – 5:00 Homework / Project Time:
Homework is corrected daily. Our educated, helpful staff work with students to complete their assignments and are open to working with parents on academic issues.

Once kids complete their homework, they can choose from all types of projects including Video Game Design, Animation, Minecraft, Robotics, and more!

5:00 – 5:30 Physical Activities:
Sometimes there is no better way to release energy then a good ol’ game of capture the flag, kickball, or Empow exclusive games like ‘Ollie Tag.’

When the weather is not nice, we stay inside for indoor activities in our open space, including our very own four-square court.

5:30 – 6:00 Tech & Design Project Time:
Photos of Empow StudiosWe understand that kids should have the opportunity to explore more than just one project type here in the studio.

We use this time to exclude Minecraft and introduce Scratch, Video Game Design, Robotics, Animation, 3D Modeling & Printing, Music Production, DJing, and Video Production.

6:00 – 6:30 Choice Time:
What better way to end the day with some games with staff members and friends in the program. Who’s down for a game of Wii, or better yet, who can drive the Sphero robot on the grinding rails first?
