The Frankfurt International School (FIS), located just outside of Frankfurt and founded in 1961, is an independent, co-educational day school, which offers an educational program for students of all nationalities. Frankfurt International School (FIS) together with the International School Wiesbaden (ISW) is the largest and second oldest international school in Germany.Programs / Courses:- International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme and International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. ; - Strong athletics, performing arts and visual arts programs. ; - Full range of after school activities and service projects. ; English is the language of instruction, but German is mandatory. English as a Second Language is taught as well as Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, French and Spanish.

I am currently about to begin my final 12th grade year at FIS; the school where I have spent all of my high school years. During these years I have not only learnt a lot from my teachers in the class room but also from my experiences in FIS sport, art and charity programs. It is here where I learn much more than just how to pass exams, as I feel my experiences here have made me the person I am. Although I am looking forward to when I graduate and move on to university, I know I shall definitely miss FIS and what it has done for me.

I graduated from FIS in summer 2002, after having studied there for four odd years. I then went on to study medicine at Imperial College London in the UK. I graduated from university in 2008 and became a doctor. I currently work as a senior resident in internal medicine in Canada.
FIS has not only given me the core education required to successfully complete my medical degree but also with important attitudes and discipline needed to overcome various academic and life challenges. One of those key attitudes would be the ability to interact and work with people of all backgrounds without prejudice. This is extremely valuable especially for those who work in healthcare industry, since everyone should be treated equally. Also, FIS has a diverse student population, not only of ethnicities, but also of various social and cultural backgrounds. So I have met some most interesting, fun and caring people while at FIS, with whom I remain friends and will continue to do so all my life.
