Beginning Spanish (Level 1)

Upon completion of the Basic Spanish course, the student will:

- Engage in basic Spanish conversation
- Read and write Spanish at a basic level
- Understand the cultural geographical, and historical aspect of the Spanish speaking world (with an emphasis on Mexico and Spain)
- Know vocabulary specific to profession or Spanish speaking goals
- Master crucial phrases and expressions that help student independently advance fluency
- Develop learning methods which help student further fluency in Spanish or in any foreign language

Intermediate Spanish (Level 2)

Upon completion of the Intermediate Spanish course, the student will:

- Fluidly converse in Spanish language
- Read and write Spanish at an intermediate level
- Further delve into the cultural, geographical, and historical aspect of the Spanish speaking world
- Broaden repertoire of vocabulary words that touch on themes introduced at the Basic Spanish level
- Fortify understanding of fundamentals of Spanish language, thus being prepared to embark on the mastery of level 3.

Advanced Intermediate Spanish (Level 3) 

Upon completion of the Advanced Intermediate Spanish course, the student will:

- Fortify understanding of preterite and imperfect tenses
- Broaden repertoire of vocabulary
- Understand concept of the subjunctive tense
- Further explore future, present present, pluperfect and imperfect subjunctive tenses
- Master understanding of such intermediate level concepts as demonstrative adjectives, double object pronoun placement, relative pronouns, commands, stressed possessive adjectives, the differences between ¨ser and estar, concordance, and irregular verb conjugation.

Advanced Spanish (Level 4)

Upon completion of the Advanced Spanish course, the student will:

- Fortify understanding of subjunctive tenses
- Broaden repertoire of vocabulary
- Further explore future, present present, pluperfect and imperfect subjunctive tenses
- Master understanding of such advanced intermediate level concepts as demonstrative adjectives, double object pronoun placement, relative pronouns, commands, stressed possessive adjectives, the differences between ¨ser and estar, concordance, and irregular verb conjugation.
