Catholic High School Programs for Boys (Grades 9-12)
Academics:
The Curriculum of Catholic Central High School is the result of careful planning and evaluation. It is designed to meet the special needs and interests of all students while developing skills and attitudes basic to our social, civic and economic life.
The courses of study, offering an integrated Christian approach, are endorsed by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and lead to a fully accredited high school diploma. The course of study at Catholic Central High School is designed to prepare students for college. Key subjects include English, math, science, social studies, classical and modern languages. We also offer a wide range of electives.
Honors Courses:
For many years it has been the practice of Catholic Central to offer special courses to students of outstanding ability. This is done in order to better adapt the subject matter content of the academic courses to the aptitudes, abilities and needs of the students. Students are placed in honors groups for specific subjects according to their ability in particular academic areas.
For example, a student with superior ability in mathematics and science and typical ability in other academic subjects would be placed in honors sections in mathematics and/or science and in regular sections in English, history, classical/modern languages, etc.
Advanced Placement Courses:
We offer AP courses in math, languages, science and social studies.
College Preparatory Courses:
We offer college prep courses for SAT and ACT.
Athletics:
Educating the whole man means providing opportunities for excellence in athletics as well as academics. Catholic Central achieves that by fielding teams in fourteen interscholastic sports including baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, football, golf, hockey, lacrosse, skiing.

Courses are designed so that you can register for one or multiple weeks (further camps).
