South Christian High School, Grand Rapids:
Located in Grand Rapids, Kent County, near Lake Michigan in West Michigan, South Christian High School is a co-educational Christian high school for grades 9-12. It is a place where Christian values and principles are incorporated with rigorous academic study and extracurricular challenges to prepare students to be competent and contributing members of society. The school is located just south of the city of Grand Rapids drawing students from both suburban and rural areas.
We are accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and Michigan.

South Christian High School will offer an excellent academic pro-gram, rooted in Biblical beliefs and values. Within the framework of academic study and extra-curricular activities, SCHS will challenge students to know Biblical foundations, to demonstrate Christian values through a life of service and holy living, and to experience a personal relationship with Christ.
SCHS will en-courage students to reach their full potential by providing oppor-tunities for them to develop as whole persons, maintaining a healthy physical, social, and emotional sense.

Activities include:
Student Council - This group of elected students sponsors a variety of activities for the student body, organizes the Christmas drive, and works as a governing body to develop school policy or to change existing policy by working through the board and faculty. Three students from each class and the class president serve as representatives.
Drama and Speech - This class is designed to coincide with the Forensics Competition with area schools who are a part of the Michigan Interscholastic Forensics Association (MIFA), and provides students with the opportunity to select, develop, and perform a speech or dramatic piece in a competition against several participating schools.
