Fitness Instructor Training Courses in Ireland
National Council for Exercise & Fitness:
NCEF is the largest and longest established provider of education and training for Exercise and Health Fitness Professionals in Ireland. The NCEF is an academic affiliate of the University of Limerick (UL) offering the only university accredited Health Fitness Instructor qualification in Ireland. Certificate, Higher Certificate, Diploma and Degree qualifications awarded at Levels 6,7 & 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications and Levels 5 & 6 on the European Qualifications Framework. The NCEF is audited and aligned to the European Industry standard, Exercise for Health Specialist (EQF Level 5).
Some other training providers offer EQF Level 4 standard of qualification, but the Certificate & Higher Certificate courses are the only complete stand alone fitness qualification in Ireland, accredited at EQF Level 5.
The NCEF Head Office is located on the University of Limerick Campus and courses operate nationwide both in industry based commercial settings and in educational establishments. Training venues include:

Centre for Sports Studies - UCD
Courses / Programs
The Centre for Sport Studies, established in University College Dublin in 1999, serves as a focus of innovative academic activity in the increasingly important areas of Sports Studies through research, consultancy and the provision of multidisciplinary teaching. The Centre has a staff of five, works in partnership with departments in all UCD faculties and utilises the expertise of over 30 guest lecturers from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds. There are approximately 200 full-time and part-time students, including mature entrants and elite athletes, enrolled on its undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Our MSc (Sports Studies) is being offered by UCD's Centre for Sports Studies in association with the Centre for Continuing Professional Education. This new programme may be taken on a one-year full time or a two-year part time basis and will normally be open to graduates who have completed and achieved a high standard in their primary degree.

Ms. O'Dwyer has 25 years of teaching experience and is a TESOL certified language teacher.The Study English and Music in Ireland - Homestay Programme offers a unique combination of language and music learning in a beautiful Irish countryside setting. The programme is designed to be intimate in nature as a maximum of 4 young people are accepted for each two-week session. The programme incorporates language building activities through daily classes in English as well as participation in musical, recreational and home-based activities.
