Seeds of Knowledge Tutoring in Palm Harbor, FL, is a small company that provides tutoring, test prep, and home schooling support for learners of all ages throughout the Tampa Bay area, including Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa cities. Every session with every student is completely customized for that unique learner. We don’t use “one size fits all” programs, like some of the big companies do. All tutoring is done by a state certified and Montessori credentialed teacher, with over 15 years of experience teaching and tutoring students (ranging from elementary to adults). We use hands-on materials and concrete experiences to help students understand the reasoning behind the concepts.
Jennifer Young - Founder:
Jennifer is an experienced tutor serving the Tampa Bay area. She is a state certified teacher, and holds an American Montessori Society teaching credential. Jennifer has spent the past 15 years teaching and tutoring students (ranging from elementary through adults), in almost every imaginable educational setting: one-on-one tutoring, private schools, public schools, Montessori schools, tutoring centers, teacher-education centers… even the education department of the zoo!
Jennifer is dedicated, passionate, reliable, creative, and professional. She uses a variety of modes of learning, and many hands-on manipulative materials. She often uses Montessori materials with students (even those who have never experienced Montessori education before). Jennifer’s specialty is helping students to really understand the concepts, rather than just ‘here are the steps to get the answer’ like textbooks (and many tutors) often teach. She is available to meet with students at their home, her home, or a neutral location.
