E.B.I.C.A (Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte D'azur):
Located in the heart of Sophia Antipolis technology park, close to the French Riviera, Ecole Bilingue Internationale Côte D'azur (EBICA) offers a complete double French-English curriculum for students from Preschool through High School. EBICA is a private, international school authorised by International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and Cambridge International Examinations (IGCSE). High school students may opt to do the French Baccalaureate (Social – Economy or Scientific) or the GCE - A level certification.
At EBICA we offer students a French-English bilingual education. The EBICA curriculum encompasses the IPC - International Primary Curriculum / IGCSE - Cambridge, and the French Education Nationale programmes, using dynamic teaching methods along with the best educational tools to support each child in their learning.
Our Educational Philosophy:
Our educational philosophy prepares students for a world in constant evolution, autonomous study and responsible living. We focus on investigative activities, public speaking, the exchange of ideas, and research. Equal importance is given to the development of self-confidence, which we achieve by encouraging students to correct themselves and form their own opinions and decisions.
There are more than 25 different nationalities in EBICA (France, Italy, UK, Denmark, Germany, India, Colombia, South Korea, Vietnam, etc). We compliment our academic programme with innovative cultural activities, Human Rights projects, volunteering, and problem-solving.
Through the IPC curriculum, the IGCSE, the British and American standards, an adapted Montessori approach, and the French Éducation Nationale programme, the education at EBICA provides students with an exceptional foundation for the world of tomorrow.
Small Class Sizes:
Small class sizes enable individual attention to students encouraging progress at the child's own pace. EBICA currently welcomes more than 160 students. The maximum number of students per class is 17.
EBICA is a French-English bilingual school and all students benefit from a high quality bilingual education. The teachers teach in their native tongue, thus we can assure that the students master both French and English. An example of a schedule would be a class taught in French in the morning and a class taught in English in the afternoon on Monday, the opposite on Tuesday, etc.
