Established in 1992, Irish College of English (ICE) is a high-quality English language school in Dublin, Ireland that is recognised by the Irish Department of Education and Science for the teaching of English as a Foreign Language. We offer full-time and part-time English courses for adults in two locations in Dublin: Malahide is a beautiful and affluent coastal Dublin suburb and Swords is a lively large suburb on the North Side of the city. Both of our schools are within easy reach of Dublin City Centre and both are only 10 minutes from Dublin International Airport.

Intensive English Courses in Dublin:
ICE offers Intensive English courses for adults all year round. Students can choose to study for a minimum of 1 week and up to 1 year. Many students come to Ireland for a period of 2 - 4 weeks to improve their English with a full immersion programme. Other students choose to study for 1 year to allow them the experience of studying and living in Ireland. There is an excellent mix of nationalities in all our programmes.

Our intensive English courses are suitable for students of all levels of English - from total beginner to advanced. Students can choose to study 15, 20 or 25 hours of classes per week. The main focus of these intensive English courses is on rapid learning for communication in spoken and written English.

Our English language classes also include an Irish Culture component, which covers Irish language, history and culture, and traditional music. These special English lessons will provide those students learning English in Ireland with a better knowledge of the local people and their culture, enabling them to become more actively involved with the unique Irish way of life.

Teaching Methods:
Our highly qualified English tutors set students clear learning objectives and use the latest modern teaching techniques to provide language practice in speaking, listening, reading and writing, to improve English pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. 

Students Requiring a Study Visa to Work and Study in Ireland:
Our English courses are also suitable for international students requiring study visas to enter Ireland. ICE can help students with your study visa applications and we will issue a letter of acceptance upon registration. We will also issue you a College Letter needed to apply for the right to work in Ireland. Our 1 year courses (25 weeks tuition) are included on the Department of Education and Science's Internationalisation register of programmes for the purpose of access to employment by students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
