Davide Bigazzi Studio, San Francisco Bay Area:
Davide Bigazzi is an award winning designer and metalsmith from Florence, Italy who is renowned for his mastery of chasing and repoussé. Davide offers beginner to advanced level workshops in chasing and repoussé as well as weekly classes in chasing, repoussé, and jewelry fabrication at his studio in the San Francisco Bay Area (Menlo Park, CA). Workshops and classes are intensive, hands-on, individualized, and limited to four students. The studio setting and small classes guarantee a unique and effective environment for learning, as well as tailored instruction.

The Art of Chasing & Repoussé (2 & 3 days)
Join Davide in his studio for two or three days of hands-on instruction in chasing & repoussé. The main focus of this workshop is technique. There will also be demonstrations & discussions on chasing tools, pitch, patina, & much more.

The Art of Chasing & Repoussé (5 days)
Join Davide in his studio for five days of hands-on instruction in chasing & repoussé. This workshop emphasizes technique and its application to jewelry, hollowware, and/or model making. Class is both exercise and project based through individualized instruction, tailored to your ability and goals. The process of making chasing tools will be covered, including age-old shapes that Florentine masters have used for centuries.

The Chasing & Repoussé Jewelry Project (5 days)
During this intensive, hands-on workshop, students will create a jewelry collection (2 pieces) by employing chasing and repousse' as well as other various techniques. Learn how to shape and mold metal surfaces to incorporate into your jewelry. Personal expression and individual artistic design will be highly encouraged.

Cuff Bracelet Workshop (3 Days)
Cuff Bracelet Workshop - The main focus of this workshop is the creation of a cuff bracelet by employing chasing, repoussé, forging, & soldering.

- Materials (copper) & tools are supplied. If you would like to bring sterling silver to work with please ask for size requirements.

Tool Workshop (1 day)
Learn to forge and form high quality chasing tools including age-old shapes that Florentine masters have used for centuries.

- Tool steel for 6 chasing tools included.
- Friday 10am-1pm & 2pm-5pm

Chasing, Repoussé, & Jewelry Fabrication Classes (12 Hr Class Package)
Ongoing classes in chasing, repoussé, and jewelry fabrication. Join Davide at his studio Thursday afternoons from 2-5 or evenings from 5-8. Classes are offered in 12hr packages, are on a drop-in basis, and limited to 4 students. A reservation at least a week in advanced is necessary to secure a spot. Materials not included. Tools are supplied.
