Mandarin Chinese Language Programs:

- Integrated Mandarin Chinese Language Program: 
This program is for adults who are seeking an in-depth comprehensive Chinese language program. 

Program Description:  This is a highly-integrated course in Mandarin Chinese (Putonghua), designed for students whose target it is to develop their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills using both the Pinyin phonetic system and Simplified Chinese characters. Students will acquire vocabulary and sentence structure for use in everyday communication and topic-based discussion. They will be able to identify the sounds and tones of Mandarin as well as read and write in Chinese (simplified Chinese characters).

Along the way, students will gain knowledge of the different values, customs, etiquette and life styles from the various regions of the Mandarin Chinese-speaking world.

- 1 on 1 Mandarin Chinese Language Program: 
This is intended for students of all levels.

Program Description:  This course is suitable for all levels and purposes. Whether you are learning Mandarin for your career, academic studies or simply out of personal interest, we will customize the course to meet your specific level and learning goals. All courses are taught one-on-one at your convenient time, by a highly experienced Mandarin Chinese teacher at our location in Austin. If you are extremely busy or live in another city we also offer one-on-one lessons through MSN or Skype.

- Conversational Mandarin Chinese Language Program: 
This is for students who just want to learn to communicate effectively in Chinese.

Program Description:  This program focuses on pronunciation, vocabulary and basic grammar structures which enable students to put together sentences and phrases for effective communication in Chinese. Students will spend a large amount of time practicing conversational Chinese for a variety of real-life topics and situations. Special emphasis is placed on listening comprehension, mastering the "four tones", using common expressions and building vocabulary.

- Business Mandarin Chinese Language Program: 
This is for people who often travel to China and Chinese-speaking countries for business.

Program Description:  This is a practical conversational course specially designed for business people who travel to Chinese-speaking areas. It covers useful topics regarding various business activities such as trading, banking, signing contracts, giving presentations, etc. Its main aim is to develop professional business people’s oral communicative skills as well as understand Chinese business culture in order to conduct business in a Chinese language environment appropriately and successfully. The learning materials are meant to parallel the experience of an American businessman coming to China.

- Pronounce Mandarin Chinese Language Program:
In Mandarin Chinese, the word “ma” can mean four different things depending on the tone (the pitch) - “mother,” “hemp,” “horse,” or “to scold” - even though the pronunciation is the same. If you are constantly struggling with tones, this program will make it easy for you to be able to pronounce Chinese words like a native speaker.

- Write Mandarin Chinese Language Program:
The major struggle facing all beginner Chinese language students is to learn to recognize, read and write Chinese characters. This program provides a structural approach that helps students overcome this initial difficulty and quickly master basic Chinese characters, writing them in their correct stroke order. Along with reading and writing characters you will also learn their correct pronunciation.

- Mandarin Chinese Language Program For Travellers:
This program is intended for people who have an upcoming trip to China or a Chinese-speaking country.

Program Description:  Traveling to China can be an experience of a lifetime. During your visit you will likely come across majestic landscapes, great food, colorful people and a unique blend of history and culture. Unfortunately, in China, it can be a challenge communicating with locals due to the fact that most Chinese cannot speak English.
It is ALWAYS a good idea to learn some practical conversational Chinese before your travel to China. This program is short and straight-forward, specifically tailored to students who never learned Chinese before and need a good crash-course.

By the end of the program, students will be able to handle basic communication for situations like taking a taxi, getting a hotel room, shopping, dining, asking for directions, etc. Your newly acquired language skills will be the most useful resource you bring with you on your trip and will allow you to experience Chinese culture at its fullest.
