Gold Material Montessori School in the East Village, NYC, offers a high quality preschool education for children ages 2 to 6. Conveniently located in Alphabet City, between East 3rd and East 4th Streets, we provide full-day and half-day Montessori child care programs for 2, 3, or 5 days per week. All classes are mixed-age and children are grouped by their developmental levels. Our programs are available year-round. Year-round Montessori Programs for Children 2-6 years:
At Gold Material Montessori School we believe that children are a natural learners who gain knowledge by doing and communicating - that is why we always plan active and engaging experiences for your child. Our experienced teachers act as facilitators that help motivate and enhance each child's learning experience through their engagement in individual learning activities specifically designed to meet your child developmental needs and help advance to the next level.

We carry out the classes using the classical Montessori system which is complimented by the use of developmental games. Serious attention is placed on the establishment and correction of fundamental learning skills, including a focus on developing intellect, speech, attention, thinking, memory, logic, math, hand development and preparation for reading, writing, cosmic education, self-service skills, creative skills, small motor skills developments, and a motivation for learning. Arts & crafts and music education are also included in the curriculum.

Flexible Schedule:
Parents can choose from our flexible schedule and their children can attend the school full days or half days, 2, 3 or 5 days a week. We also provide a special night care program for children of shift workers such as hospital employees, police officers and fire fighters.

Full Day Programs:
5, 3 or 2 days a week (8:30 am - 6:00 pm) - Monday through Friday

Half Day Programs:
5, 3 or 2 days a week (8:30 am - 1:30 pm) - Monday through Friday
