The English Department is a vital and integral part of the educational program. To ensure that our students will be successful, we teach effective written and oral communication skills. AHA’s Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program ensures that every student learns how to write in a number of disciplines. Completing a writing portfolio is a graduation requirement, and we’ve learned that WAC yields results.

The Academy of Holy Angels offers a comprehensive program in mathematics. Because there is a great need for critical, quantitative thinking and problem solving ability in our society, each AHA student is required to complete nine trimesters of mathematics for graduation.
