French Language Classes for Children:
French For Tots:
Students attend Tots classes with a parent or caregiver. In a 45-minute Tots structured playgroup, children absorb their target language through stimulating games, language immersion, visual aids, original LWFC songs, tactile materials and more! Tots playgroups build more than language skills. As youngsters handle toys and visual aids, they de
velop motor skills and coordination. As they participate and interact, they imagine, discover, and build social skills too.
Part of the Thibaut Technique magic is cloaking the routines that students need in order to learn with laughs, emotional support, melodies, colorful props, and gentle personal interaction. That way kids really pay attention and absorb the words and sentence basics in the games and in each session’s songs. Then it’s on to next session’s fresh new songs, words, and French fluency.
French For Children:
This class consists of 1-2 hrs. Children's Division students are adjusted to separation and attend class by themselves. In Children's classes, students learn a new language in an immersion environment through exciting age-appropriate action games, visual aids, LWFC vocabulary songs, playful and educational activities and lots and lots of laughs.
Because kids over the age of three are fully verbal, Children's classes are vocal and animated. Students are more aware of each other than in Tots so they enjoy interacting as a group.
This group uses phrases and full sentences, and later, as children progress, they learn stories and dialogues. Classes are relaxed and happy because the students are constantly engaged in rapidly changing activities.

Hills Learning is a language school located in Manhattan, New York City offering Japanese language courses for kids, teenagers and adults of all abilities. Our Japanese programs for kids combine fun and interactive language activities with quality language instruction. We offer both group classes, private lessons, and intensive Japanese courses. Group classes are held at Hills Learning center in Manhattan, but private classes can be held at the student’s home. Founded in 1926 in Manhatten, New York by a group of American and Chinese educators, China Institute in America is the oldest educational and cultural organization in the United States focused on advancing a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens our global community. China Institute offers Mandarin language immersion programs designed for preschool, kindergarten, elementary and high school students. For students with little or no prior background in Mandarin, the Institute also offers a six-week long Mandarin Chinese Summer Immersion Academy in New York City. The program offers scholarships directed especially at disadvantaged youth whose families may not be able to provide them with access to the opportunity to learn Mandarin. For students with a substantial prior background in Mandarin, China Institute offers a seven-week intensive Chinese language program in Beijing, China.
