At a young age, children's personalities flourish in our carefully prepared, developmentally appropriate, and fun learning environments. The Elementary School at San Tan Learning Center aims to provide a proactively prepared learning environment for each student that assures individual achievement of the state standards and beyond.
Montessori Private Preschool:
San Tan Learning Center is based on the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori. The four major areas of the Montessori classroom are: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language and Mathematics. Primary classes are peaceful environments where concentration and independence deepen and grow. As with all authentic Montessori environments this is the children’s classroom and everything is designed around their needs.
K-6 Elementary School:
The San Tan Learning Center curriculum is standards based and incorporates Physical Education, Health, Music, Spanish, and Art into each student’s weekly routine. Time on task along with high student engagement is expected and monitored to assure students will accomplish their learning objectives daily at school. This allows students to have minimal homework in order to rest their minds and enjoy non-related school activities at home each day. This was a high priority for the parents who participated in the design of the Charters’ academic program.
