The Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood:
The Lucy Daniels Center for Early Childhood, located in Cary, North Carolina, is a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting the healthy emotional development of young children offering programs to children 11 years old or younger who are having behavioral or social difficulties. Our staff of more than 25 social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, psychoanalysts, and early childhood educators offers individualized care for each child and family.
Child Enrichment Program:
The Lucy Daniels Center Child Enrichment Program (CEP) in Cary, NC provides part-day programs for the general population of children, ages three and four. Nationally accredited by the NAEYC (National Association for Education of Young Children) and licensed as a five-star program by the state of North Carolina, the CEP approach is uncompromising in its commitment to provide an environment, relationships, and curriculum that optimally build competencies preparing children for success in academics and relationships.
Early Intervention Program:
Young children whose emotional development is at-risk need assistance with their emotional life. The Early Intervention Program provides solutions for many children ages three through six and their parents. Mental health professionals and educators oversee a comprehensive program that has become a national standard for helping at-risk children. The Early Intervention Program addresses each family's strengths and needs, enabling children and parents to develop deeper communication and relationships as the basis of positive change in emotions and behavior.
Family Guidance Service:
The Family Guidance Service offers evaluations and outpatient mental health services for children through the age of 11 - and on occasion through age 14 - and their families. We offer services in English and Spanish. Because of the community need, we have expanded to serve a limited number of youth ages 12-14.

Mental health assessments and interventions for young children are sometimes provided best in the child's home or school setting. SecurePath is a comprehensive mental health service for young children in Wake County provided at the child's home or preschool. Our staff offers mental health assessments, interventions, and therapy for children ages birth to five and their parents who need help with their child's social, emotional, or developmental challenges. Services are provided in English and Spanish.
