Magna Carta College, Oxford:
Magna Carta College is an independent business school in Oxford (approximately 80km from London) in South-East England. We offer a range of graduate degree courses in both online and traditional, on-campus formats, including Master of Business Administation (MBA) programs. Our degree courses are validated and awarded by University of Wales which is one of the oldest universities in UK.

Magna Carta College offers the following postgraduate degree courses:

Master of Administration (MBA) Degree Programmes (On-Campus or Online):
Magna Carta College MBA programmes are designed to suit individual needs and fit in with your lifestyle and work. There are flexible admission criteria (no pre-work experience is required), study periods and methods of study. You can choose whether you want to study via Distance Learning or full-time at Magna Carta College in Oxford. Full Time MBA is completed in 1 year whereas, you have up to five years to complete the Distance Learning MBA, but most people will complete it in two to three years.

We offer the following MBA programs in Oxford:

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management:  The MBA in International Management aims to provide a broadly-based postgraduate level of education in management, for pre and post experience graduates. Admission is not limited to graduates with prior work experience, as we believe new first degree graduates are well able to undertake a Masters programme in Management.

The core courses comprise the standard Management MBA modules, but also a module in Entrepreneurship. The elective modules allow students to select topics of special interest to them, all of which have an international orientation. Teaching and learning will be delivered through lectures, seminars, tutorials, guided independent study, and a variety of assessments, including examination.

Teaching and learning in the programme is propelled by the active research of staff, particularly in the general areas of business and management theory. The course will have a modular format, with modules being taught in blocks of  5 days each.

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Law:  The MBA in Business Law provides a broadly-based postgraduate level of education in management and law for pre and post experience graduates. It is not restrictive in limiting admission to graduates with prior work experience, as we believe new first degree graduates are well able to take a Masters programme in management. Students specialise in law subjects during the second term, and while the modules taken are very standard, the programme has a distinctly international orientation.

Teaching and learning will be achieved through lectures, seminars, tutorials, guided independent study, and a variety of assessments, including examinations. The course will be taught in a modular format, with each module normally being taught in an intensive one-week block.

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Healthcare Management:  The MBA in Healthcare Management provides a broadly-based postgraduate level of education in healthcare management for pre and post experience graduates. It is not restrictive in limiting admission to graduates with prior work experience, as we believe new first degree graduates are well able to take a Masters programme in management. Students specialise in healthcare subjects during the second term, and while the modules taken are very standard, the programme has a distinctly international orientation.

Teaching and learning will be achieved through lectures, seminars, tutorials, guided independent study, and a variety of assessments, including examinations. The course will be taught in a modular format, with each module normally being taught in an intensive one-week block.

Master of Arts (MA) in Marketing Degree Course:
Our MA in Marketing is a high-quality, one-year course featuring self-study, reading, and assignments.

Compulsory core modules (each of 20 credits) are:
International Marketing Strategy; International Marketing; Consumer Brand Management; Business Research Methods

Elective modules (currently each count for 20 credits - the list will be expanded over time):
A choice of two is required for the degree from: International Cooperative Strategy; Marketing Research; Advertising and Promotion; Entrepreneurship

Master of Science (MSc) in Business Information Management Degree Course:
Our exceptional MSc programme is in general intended as a one-year programme. Arrangements will be made however for any part-time students to be able to complete the programme over two years. As required for Masters programmes, the Masters in Business Information Management will have 1,800 hours of study in a variety of for MSc including self-study reading and assignment preparation. The MBIM involves a total of 180 credits, allocated as follows:

- Compulsory Core Courses (20 credits each) are:
Information System Design, Development & Management; Information System Theory & Practice; People & Technology; Research Methodology

- Elective Modules:
The elective modules currently offered each count for 20 credits (the list will be expanded over time). A choice of two is required for the degree from: Foundation of Modern Management; Knowledge Management; Entrepreneurship. Please note that the number of electives offered may vary year-to-year depending on factors such as level of student demand.

- All students are also required to take a course in research methodology, a pass in which is a condition for being allowed to proceed to the dissertation. This course counts for 20 credits.

- The third part of the programme is a dissertation on an international topic. Its length shall not exceed 20,000 words This will be allocated 60 credits, making 180 in total.

Masters Entry Diploma (Available on-campus or by distance learning):
The Masters Entry Diploma has been created for students who at present do not have sufficient academic or English language qualifications to embark on a master’s programme in the UK. For example, if they are Chinese, they may well have a three year Diploma rather than a four year degree. They may also have IELTS of no more than 5.0 when at least 6.0 is generally required for acceptance into a UK Higher education institution. Students with 240 credits (i.e 2nd year of first degree, HND/ Advance Diplomaawarded by UK recognised body) can also qualify for Masters Entry Graduate Diploma.

MED endeavours over a year of study to help the student reach IELTS 6.5 and also introduces him/her to the academic discipline that they are intending to study at Masters level. It is hoped that students who successfully complete the Diploma will stay on at Magna Carta College to take the MBA degree.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management Top Up Programme:

Awarding Body:  University of Wales (UoW)

Credit Transfers will be assessed while processing the application. Applicants will only be granted credits for courses which map with the courses taught in  MBA offered at Magna Carta College.

Entry Requirement:

* Academic:  Edexcel Level 7 BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma in Management Studies
Edexcel BTEC Level 7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership
UK first degree or equivalent or atleast 2 years of management experience

* English:  IELTS 6.5 or equivalent
