Image of Sport and Active Lifestyles Sheffield Hallam University:
We are based in the heart of the country in Britain's fifth largest city - Sheffield. Major road and rail networks link Sheffield directly with the rest of the country and the city itself is served by excellent bus and supertram services.

We have two campuses located within minutes of each other. Our City Campus is directly adjacent to Sheffield's central Passenger Transport Interchange at Pond Street, and is a two minute walk from Sheffield's Midland railway station. There is a taxi rank outside the railway station and the journey time to Collegiate Crescent is around 10 minutes.

Location and Facilities:

With a central location, Sheffield enjoys good road and rail links from all parts of the United Kingdom and three local international airports provide excellent links with the rest of the world.

You might not want to leave Sheffield but if you do it’s only an hour to Leeds and Manchester, and 90 minutes to Birmingham. London is just over two hours away on the train.

Best of all though is the Peak District which is part of the city and is in easy reach for those who love the great outdoors. The villages of Hathersage and Castleton and the Hope Valley are ideal for lazy weekends in the countryside.

Surrounding attractions include: Chatsworth House; Royal Armouries; Eureka; Derbyshire; Magna; Doncaster Race Course; Xscape, Castleford; Lightwater Valley Themepark
