Montessori Children’s House:
Montessori Children’s House, located in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is a traditional Montessori pre-school and Kindergarten educating children ages 2 1/2 to 8 years of age. We aim to provide our young students with a solid learning foundation by tailoring lessons to each child’s needs and interests using a complete Montessori curriculum. Our ratio is 1:8 students per teacher. This is essential in a Montessori class since it allows for individual attention of each student and assures that each student is provided with a full Montessori experience.
Montessori Preschool & Kindergarten Programs for Children Ages 2.5-8:
The Montessori curriculum is fundamental in awakening each child’s potential while gaining independence in their capabilities. We encourage each child to progress at their own pace thus inspiring their natural desire to learn. Montessori Children’s House II is dedicated to each child’s learning needs academically, socially, physically and emotionally.
Kindergarten:
We offer an affordable half day and full day Kindergarten program. Please check with the school for the most current information as scheduling may change due to enrollment. Please note: afternoon programs are only offered to the Kindergarten student’s at this time.
Daily Schedule:
Our work cycle begins at 8 a.m. and lasts until group time. The entire classroom comes together at group time for creative movement, songs, and stories. During this time is also when we may have guest speakers and performers. Recess immediately follows group.
Quiet Time/Rest:
All day children are required a Quiet time period of at least 30 minutes. If a child is not sleeping at the end of this period he/she is permitted to do quiet activities/lessons at the other end of the school.
Field Trips:
Montessori Children’s House plans about 4 – 5 field trips a year. We love to see performances and plays, visit local museums, and farms. Field trip notices are posted in the front lobby and on the parents website. As always, parents are welcome provided there is seating available at the location we are attending.

Our Lady of Lourdes is a Catholic Elementary School in the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia. It serves students from Pre-Kindergarten through Eighth Grade, with a school population of approximately 400. There are two classes of each Grade from K - 8th, with 20 to 25 students in each class. Situated in Hampton VA, and serving the surrounding York County communities, Joyful Care Children's Center is a licensed Childcare Center that provides year-round, top-notch care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
