Tennessee Tech is a public, co-educational and comprehensive university located in Cookeville, a town of about 25,000 residents. Tennessee Tech is known as Tennessee’s technological university, and houses six strong academic divisions covering a range of subject areas including Agricultural and Human Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, and Interdisciplinary Studies.

Although it's located in some of Tennessee's most beautiful countryside, the campus is only a little more than an hour from three of the state's metro areas -- 82 miles east of Nashville, 109 miles west of Knoxville and 96 miles north of Chattanooga.

Home to nearly 200 clubs and organizations -- including sororities, fraternities, honor societies and religious groups -- TTU provides a rich extracurricular campus experience.

Our Campus Recreation staff members coordinate 11 intramural and club sports: basketball, bowling, flag football, golf, racquetball, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball and wrestling.

Our Fitness Center is a free, full-service health club for students. It houses a fully equipped weight room, 25-meter indoor pool, cardiovascular equipment and an indoor track.
