Purdue University Calumet is an accredited regional campus of Purdue University located in Hammond, Indiana (25 minutes from Chicago), offering a Master of Science and post baccalaureate certification programs in Instructional Technology. A master degree or certification in instructional technology prepares you for the world of training, development, human performance, and instructional design. Curriculum is flexible, allowing students to pursue careers in higher education, K-12 education, industry, health, or the corporate world. Coursework is available in an online or traditional format.

- Master of Science in Education, Instructional Technology (online or hybrid/traditional; 33 credit hours)

The Master of Science in Instructional Technology (IT) degree is intended to prepare students for careers in the areas of instructional technology, performance technology, instructional design, performance improvement, training, education and training management, human resources, organizational develPhoto of University Education Programs in Indianaopment, and human performance consulting.

- Certificate in Instructional Technology (15 credit hours)
The Instructional Technology Program is offering a new certificate program in Instructional Technology for K-12 teachers, based in the ISTE standards adopted by the State of Indiana. Trainers and other instructional leaders in business, health, and higher education are also welcome to participate in this certificate program as well. This 15 credit-hour (5 course) allows teachers to renew their license without pursuing a master’s degree (or, in many cases, an additional master’s degree), and it also gives teachers and others proof that they possess current technology skills and knowledge to remain competitive in today’s market.

Sign Language Interpreting Major at Goshen College

Located 25 miles southeast of South Bend, in Goshen, North Indiana, Goshen College is a private, co-educational, residential, college of the liberal arts and sciences rooted in the Anabaptist-Mennonite tradition.

The Sign Language Interpreting Department at Goshen College offers major and minor degree programs in American Sign Language. Our major programs are designed to prepare graduates for a professional interpreting career and to use their skills in service to the community as teachers and in the church.

The major courses have concentrations in ASL-English Interpreting or teacher education. The minor program is for students who wish to expand their language skills and cultural knowledge or to enhance other majors such as education, social work, psychology, etc. As part of the Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures Department we provide majors and minors in Spanish as well as lessons in French, Arabic, Khmer, Mandarin and Swahili.
