English Language Summer Program for Students ages 12-18:

English classes are combined with fun activities and field trips. The small class size allows each student to receive individual attention from the instructor, benefit from the knowledge and background of the classmates and build relationships that last a lifetime.

Our carefully selected American families are sensitive to cultural differences and will make your child feel at home. Most are located within a short walk of the campus … often just a few hundred meters away.

Family Apartments:
Family Apartments, located within walking distance to the school are fully furnished and provide a living option for entire families who wish to have both adults and children studying English at our campus. A fun and rewarding family experience.

Location & Facilities:
The campus is conveniently located in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston across the street from the commuter train station. The facility is a distinctive and well-preserved granite building that features a warm and stimulating environment designed to assist students in their studies. All teachers are highly qualified and university educated. BSML is known for its professional, caring staff who take an interest in each individual.

Afternoon activities include beach outings, swimming, sailing, hiking, biking, museum tours, shopping tours, historical sites, whale watching and sports activities.

Lawrence Academy Language Immersion Program for U.S. Students
Courses / Programs
Lawrence Academy in Groton, (35 miles northwest of Boston) is a traditional New England prep school offering 2-4 week residential Mandarin, Italian, Spanish, and French language Summer Immersion Programs to American students in 7th-12th grades. Study Mandarin, Italian, French, or Spanish while living on campus alongside international students learning English and experiencing American culture. Prior language knowledge is not required for American students.

Mornings are spent language classes. In the afternoon, students participate in off-campus and on-campus cultural and sports activities. They practice their language skills with new friends while participating in evening language enrichment activities (skits or talent shows, bowling, mini-golf, etc.). Weekend excursions to Boston, NYC, the beach, or an amusement park allow for additional opportunities to practice language skills and develop lifelong friendships.

Students live in Lawrence Academy dormitories with international roommates and share their meals in the dining hall. This program is a true international cultural immersion experience.

Loop Abroad LLC
Courses / Programs
LOOP Abroad is an exclusive study abroad summer program for high school students between the ages of 15 and 18. We spend 2 days in Boston, MA before leaving for Thailand.

This summer's program is focused on ecology and conservation, and will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai offers a chance to explore authentic Thai culture and fantastically diverse national parks, while still having modern amenities and world-class health facilities close at hand. Twenty students will live with eight faculty in a private hostel in a gated community.

During the day, the group will explore national parks, mountains, rain forests, and caves, and will publish their findings in an online wiki. Thai language classes, visits to city sites, yoga classes, and other cultural activities fill the rest of our weekdays. Faculty will help students to compose college essays about their experiences. A leadership curriculum is offered.

On the weekends, we head to activities like zip-lining, the tiger nursery, go-karts, the rooftop pool, thai cooking, and Muay Thai.. Highlights include a week living at the Elephant Nature Park and a four-day trek, staying overnight with the Karen Hill Tribe people.

Hills Learning
Courses / Programs
Hills Learning is a language school that provides high-quality Mandarin Chinese classes to adults, teens and children all year-round. This summer, we are teaming up with Chess Educators to provide a unique summer camp experience for boys and girls (ages 5-12) - combine Mandarin Chinese immersion instruction with an interactive Chess program. The program takes place at Léman Manhattan Prep School, in the Financial District of NYC (close to Wall Street).

Kids will participate in fun, engaging activities, and they start off the day with a morning wakeup physical activity. In the afternoon, they get engaged in playing Chess and learning fun and effective strategies. All students must sign up for 2 weeks minimum. They can also take the camp for 4 weeks and receive a discount.

Our Chinese language instruction is fun and effective. We follow a textbook designed specifically for children learning Chinese. All language skills are developed, from writing and reading, to speaking and listening. Through interactive games and activities, the students learn the basics of this incredible language.

The chess camp provides an interactive and hands-on approach for kids to learn chess. Chess camp activities include chess instruction and lessons, a chess lab which includes worksheets, problem solving, and more tactics. Kids will also participate in class tournament games with notation and clocks making the camp an exciting and rewarding experience.
- Summer program for elementary school kids (ages 5-12) that combines Mandarin Chinese classes with an interactive Chess program.

All students must sign up for 2 weeks minimum. They can also take the camp for 4 weeks and receive a discount.
Youth Empowered Action
Courses / Programs
Youth Empowered Action (YEA) Camp is a unique and inspiring residential summer leadership program in Massachusetts, California and Oregon for youth 12-17 years who want to make a difference in the world. YEA Camp Massachusetts is held at the beautiful Hilltop space of Nature’s Classroom in Charlton, an hour from Boston, and less than 3 hours from Manhattan. Our northern California camp will be held at the beautiful Quaker Center in Ben Lomond, Santa Cruz County, about two hours drive south of San Francisco. There will be two sessions in Oregon at Camp Adams in Molalla, Clackamas County, less than an hour from Portland.

At a week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp setting, YEA campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, or animal rights) and they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue once they get home.
