George Brown College:
With nine out of ten graduates hired within six months of graduation, Toronto’s George Brown College has established a reputation for equipping students with the skills, industry experience and credentials to pursue the careers of their choice. From its two main campuses located across the downtown core, George Brown offers nearly 160 programs across a wide variety of professions to a student body of 60,000 (including those enrolled in full-time, part-time and continuing education programs). Advanced Engineering & Building Technologies
Through the School of Mechanical Engineering Technologies programs, we provide the most current technical skills through hands-on teaching and real-world experience with leading corporations. We offer everything from apprenticeship and diploma to post-graduate programs, so there’s an option for you – wherever you want to take your career.
Business and Finance
The School of Business offers an array of challenging diploma and postgraduate certificate programs in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Business Management, Sports and Event Marketing, and Strategic Relationship Marketing. All programs are current, focused on the new knowledge-based economy, and designed to prepare you for a new way of doing business.
The George Brown Chef School offers programs at all levels and reflects current industry demands. The Chef School maintains strategic alliances with industry partners to ensure students have access to unbeatable industry externships, unique program enhancements and excellent employment opportunities upon graduation.
Early Childhood Development
Caring for children is important work. With more parents working and a population growth rate in Toronto that is outpacing all other Canadian cities, there's a growing need for early childhood professionals. Program flexibility is a priority at the Centre for Early Childhood Development. Students may pursue their studies on a full-time or part-time basis, combining a balance of academic study and field placements.
General Arts and Science
The School of Liberal Arts & Sciences offers General Education and Liberal Studies courses and General Arts & Science programs that provide students with a breadth of knowledge in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Electives courses give students an opportunity to choose courses that are outside their major field of study, supplementing and enriching their education. The General Arts & Science programs develop skills in critical thinking, oral and written communication and career development and include an effective career counseling component.
