Modern Montessori International:
Modern Montessori International (MMI) is an Early Childhood Teacher Training Center. MMI provides distance learning Early Years Educator, Certificate, Diploma and International Diploma Teacher training courses. Our programmes are suitable for students wishing to work with or to teach children from 2.5 to 6 years of age. Montessori Teacher Training Programmes:

Early Years Educator & Montessori Diploma:
In partnership with Skills First (a government approved awarding body), we offer the Early Years Educator and Montessori Diploma, a course in line with the nationally set criteria for the Early Years Educators.

The dual qualification meets the relevant criteria for those wishing to work with young children. The Early Years Educator qualification confers a licence to practice for all newly qualified practitioners in England.

The course of study leading to this qualification is a combination of knowledge-based and workplace-based assignments, supported by direct observation of your practice by your assessor in your setting.

You can start at any time and progress at your own pace, and you’ll find that all the course materials have been very carefully organised to be logical and easy to use. 


International Diploma:
This course is suitable for students wishing to work with or to teach children from 2.5 to 6 years of age.

It will give them a deep grounding in the Montessori Principle and Philosophy, basic understanding of child psychology, an appreciation and understanding of the teaching aids developed by Dr. Montessori, a knowledge of the Montessori environment and the role of a Montessori teacher  and knowledge of the Montessori curriculum. 

It covers Montessori principal and philosophy, child development: the early years, childcare, health and nutrition, curriculum: mathematics, language, science, art and music,

This course has three aspects:
- Montessori philosophy (online study)
- Montessori apparatus (workshop)
- Teaching placement under the guidance of a Montessori teacher


Montessori Method of Education Diploma:
This course aims to develop in students a high level of competence when teaching the Montessori Method of Education to children from 2 ½ to 6 years. 

This course has two elements:
- Montessori philosophy (online study)
- Montessori apparatus (workshop)


Certificate in Montessori – Distance Learning Course:
This course is to assist in the understanding of Dr. Montessori’s practical research on the education of young children. 

This course is ideal for those who wish to have a basic knowledge of Montessori philosophy as it gives an introduction to the Montessori theory and her teaching apparatus.


Montessori Certificate in Infant & Toddler Care:
This course will equip those who wish to work with very young children between 2 months and 24 months with the Montessori knowledge and skills for effective care and management of babies and toddlers.


Certificate in Assistant Montessori Teacher Training:
This course is suitable for learners who wish to take up a role as an assistant teacher in teaching young children.


Primary Montessori Diploma:
This course gives you an outline of Montessori philosophy and methodology on working with children aged 6-9 years.   Must have completed Montessori Diploma before undertaking this course.
