Further and Higher Education Courses:
Wiltshire College is building on its outstanding record as a provider of high quality Further and Higher Education. Each campus has developed specialist practical HE provision based on a sound foundation of successful FE courses. Main subjects offered include business, computing, creative and media arts, art and design, beauty, hairdressing, science, social work, teacher education, travel and tourism, catering and hospitality, construction, sport, horticulture and others.

All of our full-time HE programmes are validated by one of our partner universities. We work closely with the University of Bath, the Royal Agricultural College, Bath Spa University, Bournemouth University and the University of the West of England. As a student you are entitled to access their extensive learning and leisure facilities as well. Our qualifications are vocationally specialised and prepare you for careers in business, commerce and industry.

All of our courses will require you to work with employers, either on placements or carrying out work commissioned by employers. Many of these links result in employment opportunities both during and after the course.

International Foundation Year:
The University of Bath Foundation Year is designed to provide a route into higher education in the UK. In particular it allows progression to specific University of Bath degree courses on achievement of the required grades. It also provides progression to undergraduate programmes at many other UK and overseas Universities.

International students with a good academic background will benefit from this Foundation Year which prepares students for their chosen degree course and for using English in an academic context. The Foundation Year programme was established in 1998. Since then the majority of its students have successfully progressed to UK higher education degree courses.

Apprenticeship:
As a Apprentice you'll have a job & a wage or be on a work placement with a weekly training allowance. An Apprenticeship takes 18 months - 2 years to complete and leads to NVQ level 2, Key Skills qualifications, a Technical Certificate and ERR. The work is mainly practical. You'll develop technical skills and gain valuable work experience. There is also the opportunity to progress to an Advanced Apprenticeship.

Advanced Apprenticeship:
As an Advanced Apprentice you will be in full-time employment with an appropriate wage, aiming for a technical, supervisory or junior management role. The training usually lasts between 2 and 3 years & leads to NVQ level 3, a higher level of Key Skills, a Tecnical Certificate and ERR. For some, an Advanced Apprenticeship is a stepping stone to Diploma or university level studies.

Employer Responsive Team:
Our Employer Responsive Team offer a range of training in fields as diverse as leadership and management, health and safety (including our comprehensive advisory service), hospitality and security, land-based industries, the care professions and business skills, as well as a wide range of occupational NVQs.
