Pacific Arabic Language School, San Francisco:
Pacific Arabic is a secular, apolitical language school in the San Francisco Bay Area serving the growing community of adults interested in the languages of Africa and the Middle East. Our instruction and unique curriculum make it possible for everyone to achieve their goals in a stimulating and supportive environment.
Modern Standard Arabic instruction from beginner to advanced level, including advanced readings courses. Egyptian, Levantine and Moroccan dialect programs. Additional conversation, pronunciation and calligraphy workshops. We also offer our courses online for students who don't live in the Bay Area.
Pacific Arabic is a private language school for adults in downtown San Francisco. We also offer online courses via our "Language Satellite". We are a secular, apolitical institute with only one purpose: helping our students learn.
What We Do:
With six academic terms per year, chances are good that a course is starting soon. Registration is limited, ensuring support and personal attention for all students. All classes meet in downtown San Francisco, at 100 Montgomery Street (only a block from the Montgomery Street MUNI / BART station). Make friends and learn Arabic in a congenial environment.
Arabic Curriculum:
We believe that Arabic is a living language and should be taught as such. This means that every class is infused with oral drills and conversation practice, and that we offer not only Modern Standard Arabic but also a variety of dialects from across the Arab world, taught just as they are spoken on the street.
If you've never studied Arabic before you should start in our Arabic 1 and 2 classes, where you'll learn the writing system and basic conversation. From there, you may continue through our beginner- and intermediate-level classes before taking our advanced readings and conversation classes. You may also choose to begin studying a dialect. In addition to our core curriculum, we offer classes in conversation, calligraphy and a variety of workshops on pronunciation, grammar, and more.
