Languages International is an English language school situated in and around beautiful Albert Park beside the University of Auckland campus. The school is New Zealand's longest-operating English language school (since 1978) and is highly regarded for its teaching quality and its friendly, comfortable atmosphere. With over one and a half million people, Auckland is New Zealand's largest city. The school is a short walk from many of Auckland's great attractions. Queen Street, the main shopping and dining area, is only 4 minutes away through the park. The Sky Tower, Auckland's highest point, is a 10 minute walk across the downtown valley. Entertainment in the city's many theatres and cinemas can be found at The Edge ®, Auckland's centre for arts and entertainment in Queen Street.

Location and Facilities:
Auckland is close to popular sightseeing destinations in the North Island, including the Bay of Islands, Coromandel, Rotorua and Taupo. Day trips to Piha, the Waitakere ranges and Waiheke Island can involve bush walks, surfing, wine tasting or just sunbathing on a beach. During winter, you can ski at the popular Whakapapa and Turoa resorts in the Central Plateau region. There are lots of beaches close to the city centre. Takapuna, Cheltenham, St Heliers and Mission Bay are popular places for water sports, swimming, sunbathing and relaxing in the many cafés and restaurants.

Language Studies International (LSI) Auckland, with two campuses in the centre of Auckland, on the north island of New Zealand, is part of the worldwide LSI group of English Language Schools. At LSI Auckland we offer General English Courses, Cambridge Exam Courses, International School Year, IELTS, TOEFL iBT & TOEIC Preparation, English for sepcific purposes (Pilots, Nurses) and Executive Courses to students of all ages and abilities.The Scotia Place campus in Auckland has bright classrooms which overlook the phoenix palm trees in Myers Park. Taylors College Auckland provides specialised university preparation programs in partnership with leading universities in New Zealand. With successful completion of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year (TAFY), you will be guaranteed entry into the University of Auckland, AUT University and Massey University. You may also apply for other universities in NZ, Australia, UK or the USA. In 2010, 85% of TAFY students were offered a tertiary place. Our university preparation courses are open to students from New Zealand and international students from around the world.There are two study options available for Taylors Auckland Foundation Year. If you have superior grades in English and relevant subjects and want to fast track your pathway to University, you can take the Intensive (Accelerated) Program. Intake is in April only and the course is 30 weeks. If you have achieved at least average grades in English and relevant subjects, the Standard Program will be suitable for you. You can start your study in January (39 weeks), July (39 weeks) or August (36 weeks).

Dominion, located downtown in Auckland & Christchurch, are two of New Zealand's most established language schools offering up to 8 levels of English Language Instruction, Dominion English Schools have an international reputation for high academic standards, extensive activity programmes and a friendly "at home" atmosphere. We never close (except on public holidays). At Dominion English Schools students can transfer between the schools. There is a maximum of about 150 students in each school: large enough to have 8 levels of English; small enough for everyone to be your friend. There are Junior Schools in January, February, July & August for students 14 years - 17 years and Senior Schools for students 18 years +. There is also a Silvers Programme for students 50 years +.
