Southern Lakes English College in Queenstown, New Zealand, is a small, exclusive English as a Second Language school registered with the New Zealand Qualification Authority and is also an associate member of English New Zealand. Activities:
We have a great activity programme for all our students at SLEC. We have a free after school activity every Wednesday. Our school buses mean that we can travel to interesting local places away from the centre of town. We also encourage students to do many of the great activities available in Queenstown such as sky diving, bungy jumping, paragliding . Maori shows and enjoying the great nature as well as socialising together at weekends. In this way, you can share great life experiences with other students from all over the world. A great fun way to practise your English that you learn at school.
Accommodation:
SLEC thoroughly evaluates the accommodation that it advertises and can recommend them to be suitable for students while they are studying with us. As Queenstown is relatively small, all of these families are known by us and are an integral part of the college. Most of our students stay with one of our homestay families and if the students are staying on in Queenstown we are able to assist them in finding accommodation.
Living with New Zealand families gives students the opportunity of experiencing our way of life. Homestays provide dinner, bed and breakfast Monday through Friday, plus lunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
Homestay includes:

The hosts of our Student houses are very friendly and caring and really enjoy entertaining and meeting people. The houses are large and comfortable homes with beautiful views within walking distance of downtown Queenstown. Originally founded in Christchurch in 1989, Aspiring Language Institute is a private, exclusive English language school that now operates from our Auckland campus which opened in 2011. We provide quality English language courses for international students from around the world. We teach students at all levels - from elementary to advanced. Our courses include preparation for the IELTS and Cambridge FCE and CAE exams.Our school is conveniently located on Albert Street, in the middle of Auckland CBD, just a few minutes away from Sky Tower, shops, restaurants and cafes. Language Studies International (LSI) Auckland, with two campuses in the centre of Auckland, on the north island of New Zealand, is part of the worldwide LSI group of English Language Schools. Taylors College Auckland provides specialised university preparation programs in partnership with leading universities in New Zealand. With successful completion of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year (TAFY), you will be guaranteed entry into the University of Auckland, AUT University and Massey University. You may also apply for other universities in NZ, Australia, UK or the USA. In 2010, 85% of TAFY students were offered a tertiary place.
