It comprises a variety of academic and non-academic learning, which goes beyond the conventional classroom method. The entire learning process at S P Jain's GMBA program is focused on inculcating sensitivity to real world issues, along with the ability to become 'leaders and change agents' in their chosen fields.
After the success in Dubai, S P Jain felt the need to expand its campus location to include another international business capital, and quite logically, Singapore ended up being the obvious choice.
Just as Dubai has an international trade and business environment, Singapore has similar trade and business growth rates that are mind boggling. It has a safe, legally sound, vibrant business environment, has an extensively well-developed finance and insurance industry, retailing is a high-priority area while it is a proven leader in Information Technology in the Asia-Pacific region. Its highly developed services sector creates huge growth opportunities for international business.
In terms of infrastructure, Singapore is second to none, it has a clean, safe and multi-cultural environment. As a result, it ends up being a destination of choice for some of the most qualified professionals from around the world.
Singapore's business growth fuels a growing need for talented management professionals. At SPJCM, we expect our students to fill this demand for quality management professionals.
The growth of Singapore is much talked about the world over. Visionary governance has amply compensated the absence of natural resources. The fact that Singapore is today the world's 4th largest center for foreign exchange dealings after New York, Tokyo, and London, reflects the extent of globalization and the importance of this city-state. Singapore is also one of the most wired countries in the world. A leader in telecom and IT services, Singapore has been an early adopter of the world's latest technologies and many global companies have made it their regional home.
The mere mention of Singapore conjures up superlative epithets. Singapore is rated to have the best business environment in the region, and is rated the fifth best worldwide out of 60 countries. Singapore's stock exchange is one of Asia's largest. In 2004, the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Report placed Singapore among the Top 10 most sophisticated financial markets in the world. Most international banks have their regional head quarters in Singapore and close to 20% of its GDP is contributed by financial services alone.
Singapore is one of the most safe and modern cities to work in. Apart from this, working in a global firm headquartered in Singapore can be a truly fulfilling experience.
Singapore's Economic Development Board explains that the country's success so far is underpinned by, what it calls, the CORE fundamentals - Connectivity, Openness, Reliability and Enterprise. It is these CORE strengths, which will continue to take Singapore into the next phase of growth, as the city marches into the future.

The Faculty is the soul of any educational institution and at S P Jain due importance is given to the selection of the right professors.
In most business schools there is a pool of residential professors who teach all courses. Whereas this model has obvious advantages, S P Jain has chosen a newer model that is fast gaining popularity. Here there is a pool of core professors who apart from teaching interact with companies to understand their changing needs, design curriculum, and interface with students. However, most courses are taught by specialist professors either from the industry or from academia but are experts in their chosen area. These professors have both the knowledge and teaching ability. They are typically selected on the basis of student feedback and thus have to consistently do well to remain as faculty members.
The core faculty at S P Jain's Dubai and Singapore campuses are all highly distinguished individuals who come with great reputations. They are well supported by our Mumbai campus whose top professors frequently visit Dubai and Singapore and teach courses there. Given the unique model professors from all over the world visit and lend their global experiences.
Apart from classroom learning S P Jain believes greatly in blending this with real world learning. To this end a guest speaker is invited almost every week and a student on an average gets over 30 such talks in a year.
In Singapore, the accommodation is on the campus itself, on a sharing basis, dormitory style. A cafeteria, which is open most of the day, caters to student meals. To de-stress, students can enjoy a game of basketball, or simple jog around the greens, which surround the campus.
You, as a participant of this exhilarating Global MBA program at the S P Jain campuses, will be going through an incomparable learning experience that cuts across national borders and prepares you for a global career. It's tough, it's rigorous, and it requires application and undivided attention. And it has rewards in terms of a career that makes up for all that.
A full time one-year Global MBA program at S P Jain Dubai and Singapore could end up being one of the most grueling years, when viewed from a student's academic career perspective. Designed to stretch the full capability and skills of a student, the course's rigorous training ultimately prepares the student for a lifetime achievement - to become a global manager.
The process of becoming a global manager commences with the student logging into the campus as early as 7.30 am. The routine begins with classroom sessions, which go on into the late afternoon, punctuated by a one hour lunch break.
Classroom sessions give way to group work time, which goes on till late evening. After this, the student has time for self-study, which takes in four to six hours. This, of course depends on how difficult the assignments are and how seriously the student takes it. In Dubai, we have seen several instances of students leaving the campus after midnight and in Singapore, it is common to see students awake till the late hours of the morning, busy with assignments and other academic preparations..
Sounds difficult? Actually, once you are immersed in management study, it becomes a rigor to mold yourself, in the time available, to become a global manager, ready to take on international challenges. That's how demanding the program is. In contrast, the specialization phase of the curriculum is designed to be less rigorous as far as formal study sessions are concerned. More time is allocated for project work and research. Students will spend time on their chosen area of specialization, in smaller study groups and in increasingly familiar surroundings.
During the year students get to see and experience both the cities. There will also be opportunities to explore the city's surroundings, indulge in sports, arts or cultural activities, or simply try the entertainment options available.
The campus environment is conducive for developing life-long friendships due to the varied student body and faculty members. This can be the start of something invaluable- an important business bond for years to come.
