Job

Perform routine and detailed housekeeping services requiring specialized tools and equipment. This position will interact on a consistent basis with other custodial staff, including Quality Control Inspectors & Supervisors, and building/area occupants. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

• Perform specialized cleaning operations, typically including spray buffing, floor burnishing, sanitizing trash receptacles, stain removal, window cleaning, etc.
• Strip and refinish floors
• Perform routine housekeeping services as assigned, which normally include emptying trash receptacles; dusting; spot cleaning; cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, medical and food service areas; restocking supplies; dust, damp or wet mopping; sweeping and vacuuming.
• Operate and maintain power equipment, which may include carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines, and other powered equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Utilize prescribed safety equipment, as required.
• Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department's service request system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma, GED Certificate, or Vocational School Diploma

Required Experience:

Two years of job-related experience

Pay Range: $17.30-$20.73 per hour

This job requires skills in delivering housekeeping services, including operating specialized cleaning equipment and using cleaning supplies.
